Inspired Riding: Why I love coaching riders remotely.

December 30, 2019

Beth Lauren Parrish:

"As a full time riding instructor for nearly twenty years, I don't think I would have ever predicted that most of my clients are now in different parts of the world. When I had several setbacks to my life these past couple of years, I decided that I wasn't going to stop sharing my passion for riding.

I developed remote coaching services, which involve video chats with my clients to give them insights. I help them find solutions for their horse time and they end up having a lot more fun.

I now have a monthly group that has some other fun options. Each month, we get together for a video chat and..."

Schelli Whitehouse: Quantum Leap Principle #8 Humor

December 26, 2019

"An attitude of amusement not only raises your physical vibration to a higher feeling state of wellbeing, it creates a magnetic effect on others around you to take things less seriously.

I learned the importance of humor and horse training late in my life with horses. I used to believe that success was achieved when the horse did what I wanted him to do exactly the way I had it pictured in my mind. I was frequently frustrated and cranky with our lessons. As was my horse..."

Inspired Riding: How 5 Day Challenges Can Create Change For You and Your Horse

Inspired Riding: How 5 Day Challenges Can Create Change For You and Your Horse

December 23, 2019

Beth Lauren Parrish: "

Last year, I started offering 5 Day Challenges in my Inspired Riders Facebook group. These challenges are a really fun way to get group members to connect and learn together.

The first one was a big hit, as the title was, "How to hear your horse's thoughts." In that one, I taught the basics of animal communication, encouraged the participants to tune into their horses and then get brave enough to exchange photos with other members. Some of the results were incredible. Many were able to see, hear and feel things going on with horses they had never met in person. It was beautiful to see the exchange happen. Even if they weren't able to get any confirmation, I was so proud of everyone who tried the Challenge and were open to new perspectives.

There were many other Challenges I've presented, the latest called, How to Create New Habits....

Schelli Whitehouse: Quantum Leap Principle #7 Gratitude

"Much has been written about the power of a grateful heart. According to Plato’s law, as you feel grateful, you become attractive, not only in your physical beauty, but in your relationships with people. This vitality draws in new opportunities for work and creative solutions.

To consistently accept and hold gratitude for what is happening in your life and the world, no matter what, sunshine or tornado, requires practice and diligent awareness..."

Schelli Whitehouse: Quantum Leap Principle #6 Acceptance

Schelli Whitehouse: Quantum Leap Principle #6 Acceptance

December 12, 2019

"Horses have a huge capacity for accepting the here and now. When a horse is basking in the warm sun on a cool day, she is not lamenting the fact that every day is not like this. She is simply experiencing the moment, standing in what is.

When the rains roll in and the wind kicks up she does not practice gratitude for the previous warm sun in hopes that it will bring it back. She does not try to manifest a sunny day or put on a ‘happy face’ in order to get through the storm. She does what she can to make herself comfortable. ...."

Inspired Riding: Trailer Loading Help

Inspired Riding: Trailer Loading Help

December 9, 2019
Beth Lauren Parrish: "I've been helping a mare in training with her trailer loading practice this week.

When we first started, this mare was nervous and did quite a bit of backing up and spooking. My goal was to offer her a sense of calm and Relaxation. I knew that even if we didn't get her in the trailer right away, I just wanted her to feel safe near it. I encouraged her to investigate the trailer and when she would back up or spook, I moved with her and casually brought her closer to the trailer again. I wanted her to realize it was no big deal. We ended that session with her two feet on the ramp.

The next day...."
